Tightening out of sequence can Cause this warpage... Jacks suggesting to take cover off BY The #'s torque procedure is important as this material-part can be distorted easily... Just tightening over the leak area Can distort worse than it may already be..

I have had good luck removing and new gasket and re-torque accordingly to the BOOK. (Read The Book)
