Bike Assembly/Prep

Does anyone know how a electra glide comes in the crate to the dealer (i.e. what parts are disassembled that have to be assembled as part of dealer prep)?

I'd like to know if there are any mods that could be made at that time and save the labor. You know, like "as long as you are putting the front wheel on, put THIS front wheel on instead." That kinda thing.

Typically when the bike is in the crate only the body panels; windshield or screen, antenna, master fuse etc are off. The dealer that I worked at would not add any assecories till bike was fully prepped and road worthy before assecories were added.

It is pretty much assembled. The bars need to be rotated up, antennas attached, and windshield installed.

Attached are the pics of our first Ultra still in the crate...

Wow, and to think some placed charge the equivalent of 2 hours labor for "setup." Looks like a 20 minute job plus a 5 minute test ride at most.

Thanks for the pictures.
