big dog and bike

I hit a small deer last fall and that's the reason mine was totaled. Took it to a local bike builder and they said that it doesn't effect the frame, they are designed to "release" that way so the frame isn't comprimised. Mine wasn't bent bad enought that I didn't even have to hammer it back, the new bolt fit right in place no worries.

Sorry to hear about your bike but curious about how the dog is? Wondering how the owner is reacting to his/her being hit? Maybe this would help your insurance claim?

A dog not on a leash that caused and accident? I'd take the owner to court!

Although I'm an animal lover and a Biker, I have to agree with Mongo on this one. Get the bike checked out first for your own safety - life is precious.
