Basic maintenance

Welcome to the forum...the best Harley site on the net...like others have said....spend the bucks to get the manual...it's helped me lots. Tons of info on this site too and very friendly folks to help you.
 
Ok guys, I give. I'll spend the 60. Half the fun for me is tinkering on the bike. Pulling it up on a computer would be a pain.

That's a good decision IMO. You wont regret it,specially if you are a tinkerer.

Since it's an '01, your dealer is probably gonna have to order it. Look online at Chicago/Zanottis/Ronnies or Latus Harley sites. I got my '07 manual for less than $50 shipped. And it's been worth many times that. I'm taking my '92 Dyna manual to a print shop to have it rebound or holes punched so I can keep it's tattered pages in order.

You'll also see the paper version pop up on Ebay for a nice price too.

and dont forget about the parts book if you can, just as invaluable if not more.
got my manual used for $30, and the parts book was $15 from ebay
