Base gasket-1990 Evo.

Are there anybody familiar to a Base gasket by-pass pigtail kit. Is there any benefit to it. Is it easy to perform a repair using the kit. How much of a performance gain. Would it keep the oil up on the rockers more. I need more insight into this.

Several of my friends used them in the 90's with good results. There used to be several different brands, but all on the same principal. It won't keep any more oil in the top end, it just keeps oil from seeping thru the imperfect case/cylinder surfaces. I've lived with the oil spot on my front cylinder base so long I think I would miss it.

Good products, I also used copper gaskets and steel multi layered head gaskets dressed them with a file and used spray copper coat and never had a leak
