The spring on the shifter pawl broke on my 1992 Softail Heritage Classic, I replaced it with a Baker ratchet pawl anit-overshift J&P part number 602-534 and I’m having nothing but troublers. When I put the forks in the tranny and set the selector drum to 3rd gear and install it in the tranny the main shaft spins freely, when I shift it to any other gears it locks up. I have tried adjusting the offset on the pawl to make it shift better but to no avail, I think it’s the Baker pawl, any help would be nice, Thanks for your time
