I'm about to put throwover bags on my bike. Does the strap scratch up the paint under the seat? I was thinking about putting some mole skin on the bottom of it to put something soft between the leather and the paint. Any suggestions?

I had em on my Sporty and it does tend to scratch/dull the paint over time. I tried putting felt in between the bags and the fender but no matter what, it picks up small sand and dirt particles. I used to hit it was Nu-Finish Scratch Doctor and a coat of wax once a month or so to remove the light spider marks and fine scratches.

I've had old black sox under my strap for nearly 20 years, and no noticeable
scratches. Where my seat contacts fender is a different story. :newsmile08:
