I have a 2011 supper glide custom 5 mts old it has a bad vibration at 110 kms to 160 kms in both 5 an 6 gears can also be replicated in 4th gear between 80 kms and 120 kms , has any one else come upon this problem or does anyone know how to fix it , the service team in Australia is stomped ran out of i-dears

I guess a helmet wouldn't help much at 256k. :newsmile071:

80 kms = 50 mph
110 kms = 65 mph
160 kms = 100 mph

Doesn't kms = kilometer per second?

Hi Hoople,
Yes it does. In metric countries when talking hiway/road speeds it is known as
kilometers per hour. So when one writes or states speed, it is known to be in hours. 100 kms = 100 kilometers (per hour).

So not only do you want to confuse us poor metric challenged yanks, now you throw in some abbrevations that make no sense to us too???

Wheel throw off a weight? Can vibration be repeated just reving up engine?
Shut off engine at speed, does vibration go away? Possibly bad crank run-out?

He asked a serious question, he should get a serious answer.

It is a little odd that the dealer cant sort it out for you,I assume they have checked all of the obvious stuff like your rubber engine mounts, top stabilizer mount, bike's alignment, fall away, tire pressure, wheel ballance.Has the bike just started too do this,I've heard of the locking nut on the top stabilizer vibrating loose and causing this kind of issue, surely the dealer has checked all of this.good luck with it.

WAZ..
