well, brand new bike has been in the shop since 4/24,
resolving slow leak in rear tire.
after new tire installed, still leaked.
determined need new chrome 9 spoke rear wheel rim.
covered under standard factory 2 year warranty.
waiting for delivery.
may be ready late next week.
only 450 miles,
150 of which is back and forth to service dept at dealer
(sticky throttle, now this).
almost forgot i had a bike.

Maybe someday the MOCO will get on the ball :eam

They can request a wheel for a "bike down" and get it pretty fast.

OK, final result.

dropped of bike for leak in rear tire, 4/24/08;
got bike back, 5/7/08;

took a couple days to find leak, couple more fighting for warranty, couple more to get a new wheel, couple more to make sure new wheel ok;

LEAKY SPOKE;

that's what they told me;

apparently, 1 of 9 cast aluminum chrome spokes was porous enough to leak 2# of air a day thru the HUB;

told wheel made in austrailia;

cost me nothing but lost saddletime;

This has been a bad year for quality.It's beginning to make me sick.I see way too much crap like this every day.Corporate greed.

I agree. it's almost like a throw back the the AMF days but in a different way dealing with quality.

Smitty I work at a dealer and see way more than most.There are some serious quality control problems now.Made in China/Taiwan is one of them.

I agree there Dan, the only advantage of tubeless is being able to plug the tire on the road top get you home if you have the tire plugging kit and the CO2 cartridges to pump it up.
