Long story short, I have Heat Demons on my bike (they're a heated grip product - they have heating elements that slip into the ends of handlebars, heating the grips from the inside, allowing the use of any grips) and I screwed them up. I didn't know what went wrong, so I contacted the company, and within a few hours a very knowledgeable rep got back to me and the problem was solved. Turns out it was all my fault (I was soldering something I shouldn't have been, and blew a fuse) BUT they're sending replacement parts for free!! I was expecting to pay around $50 for replacement parts. His only request for payment is that I get a friend to install a set on their bike.
So, friends, here you are: Heat Demons are an excellent product (cheaper than the HD version and apparently NONE have failed) from a top notch company - anyone interested in heated grips, check 'em out!!
