Another TSSM question.

So I've looked over the TSSM questions via the search option....nothing I see covers the 99 and earlier Dynas. I have an 00 but looking at and running my TSM its coming up for a 97-99 HD TSM. My bike is an 00 but I'm guessing it's before the midyear swap was done. I'm wanting to put a security system on this bike but want to do it the right way without the stealership ha ing their hands in my pocket. Does anyone know where I can go d video and /or part numbers to do this. Thanks in advance.

Looking at parts lists, the first year a FXD "security system" module #68922-00 is listed alongside "turn signal canceller #68920-01" is 2001. If security was not available for your year, you will have to go to an aftermarket security system. Module listed for your model is #68540-96 which fits years back to 1996.

So that's the turn signal module. I guess I'm at a bust with security. I want factory components.
