    An Obituary printed in the London Times.....Absolutely Brilliant !!!

    Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense , who has been with us for many years.
    No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
    He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
    - Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
    - Why the early bird gets the worm;
    - Life isn't always fair;
    - and maybe it was my fault.

    Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

    His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
    Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

    Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

    It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

    Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

    Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

    Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

    Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

    He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
    I Know My Rights
    I Want It Now
    Someone Else Is To Blame
    I'm A Victim

    Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
    If you still remember him, pass this on.
    If not, join the majority and do nothing.

    I thought he died years ago when we had to give all the children trophys if they won or lost. Wouldn't want to damage their little psyche.

    Right on geezer. What a wonderfully true post.
    Isn't that entitlement mentality working for you??? It really infuriates me.

    I like this one Geez. I fear he has been dead for a long time for most areas. Nice to hear about memories of him once in awhile though. As the world continues to spiral in disallusion, it's nice to hear something good.

    Whoa, just when I though he was totally gone, received this email this morning, have no idea if 'all' of it is true, but it sounded good so thought I would post it up. If all is true looks like Common sense is rising from the tomb.
    An update from Oklahoma:
    Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol, HB 1330. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake.

    Hey this is a conservative state, based on the values in the commandments. Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

    Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen, HB 1804. They all scattered. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.

    Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

    Oklahoma also passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegal's to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes, SB 1102. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.

    Guess what........ Oklahoma did it anyway.

    More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Florida.

    The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the criminals. The Liberals didn't like it -- But ....

    Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

    Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language. They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English. Really simple, you think.

    By the way, the Liberals don't like any of this either.

    Guess what...who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.
