i want to put adjustable lifters in my 99 heritage softtail 1340, the upper end is screamin eagle. do i need to take the motor off to do it?

I am going to assume you are referring to adjustable pushrods. If so, no. You only have to cut the orig. pushrods, remove, and then replace with the new adjustable rods.

100 per cent on this:s

NO. You do NOT have to remove the engine to replace the non-adjustable PRs with adjustable ones. That is the whole idea!

TQ

I always thought you needed "Time Saver Adjustable Pushrods" to not have to remove your rocker boxes. Adjustable Pushrods will not adjust up far enough to install without removing your rocker boxes. The "Time Saver Adjustable Pushrods" have a longer thread shank to allow them to thread up short enough to fit without removing your rocker boxes.:newsmile030:
