Adhesive on Windshield

Thank you everyone for your replies and advice. I used the WD-40 simply because I had it in the garage. It worked great.

Used Zippo or Ronson lighter fluid for years to remove glue etc. The label on Ronson fluid states great for removing labels, tar and grease & oil.
