Ad Valorem Tax on Touring bike

Here in Ontario we pay a 13% tax on the purchase price the first time we register.After that it is a yearly tag fee $45. for motorcycles $76. for passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles are based on the wieght they can carry.My truck costs $500 a year.

what is this tax? never heard of it.

It is bascially the same thing as a "personal property tax". They just call it something else.

I'm in South GA and if I remember correctly (LOL) on my 10 Ultra was about $170.00
