99' dyna won`t start

A '99 should have a crank positioning sensor and a cam timing sensor. i agree with BUBBIE on the Vac. line. If it started and ran for a minute or 2 then died and wouldn't start it is probably the Vac. line. They normally will start back up and run until the float bowl goes dry, then no more gas.

hey Bodeen, have fuel, have fire, no holes in pistons, checking compression and timing chain tomorrow. thanks for your help! THIS IS VERY PUZZLING.......

Number 9 and 10 are the crank and cam sensors
 
Hey Jack, How can I tell if it is a sensor?

You would have to do an ohm test and check it against the manual values, but you already said you have fire? If that is correct I would do a compression test next, do you have GOOD fuel or stale gas in the tank? If you run a spark test do not remove the plugs but use a spark tester, even grounding the plugs can raise issues with sensors
