96 ultra rh turn signal switch

my right hand turn signal button will not depress,it feels rock hard when you push on it.is there anything i need to look for or just replace the switch?
i took the cover off and looked the switch,nothing in the way to block the
switch action,i see no splice/connector for the switch and it looks like the throttle cables are involved,how big of a job is this to replace?

It's not a big job. The new switch comes with leads and you cut the ones on the present switch and re attach covered with heat shrink. Remember to stagger the joints so there's no lumps in the wiring harness.
