I have a 2012 883XL I just put a new batterie in it it started and ran for like 20 min then the batteries light came on. I cut it off and let it sit over nigh before I did anything else with it I got up it started so I went to wash and after I washed it. It will now not start I have power its just not doing anything when I hit the start switch I have checked the start relay not sure what else to do please help!

Recheck all battery connections to include at the starter. Maybe water got inside the start/stop switch.
Was battery fully charged before you put it in? Load test the battery, new does not mean it's good.
I've seen bad batteries right off the shelf.

Please do not let your steed run for 20 minutes standing still. If lights are not dropping down then no power is getting to starter. Dry out fuse box, properly bench testing battery and check all cables and go from there.

Always start with a good battery, full charge @ 12.7 volts, clean and tight connections, good grounds, clean and tight connections @ the starter. Run your fuses with a test light or an Ohm meter
