i'm reading a lot about the chain oiler on older sporty's. does my 81 xlh have one? i'm getting some spray on the rear tire and frame, and i don't see any other possible leaks???

If your model has an oilier and I think it does you can adjust it or better yet block it off with an1/8 pipe plug, just remember to lube it once in a while or put an O ring chain on and check or replace the sprockets:s
Jack has you covered, the automatic chain oiler, if not properly "adjusted" left a puddle of oil "traditionally"... really gave Harleys a bad rap that carries on to this day.
