Hi NEWHD74FAN,
Started learning about Shovels in 82, soon after buying an 81FXEF it started driving me crazy, a mate of mine was a great Harley mechanic and he agreed to help me. I learnt a lot and in the 20 years I owned it it was stripped down to the frame 3 times as I made changes.I got to know every nut and bolt of that bike and came across most problems they could throw at you. Gotta love the Shovels mate.
Own a Heritage Evo now, she and I are getting to know each other.

PS: I'd rather sink a Crownie, but a Fosters would do in a pich.

The bike runs, rides great. Surprises me since she was sitting for so long.

Got an oil leak under her. Looks to be coming from above skid plate. I will tear into it soon.

Heading out to Sturgis with her this year, should be a ball.

I know the older ones leak,some. This leak is getting worse. leaving about a 6" spot on the floor.

I am not one that has to have a spotless bike. A little leak is no big deal.
