79' HD Sportster

Recently acquired a 79 Sportster. It as called a little bit of everything from a Ironhead to a Flarhead. And, why is it hard to find parts/accesories? So many things will fit all models except the 79 Sportster.

Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to install new steering bearings on the fork?

Here's a site that I found for 79 ironhead parts.Not a lot but every little bit helps.Sporty Specialties Parts Warehouse 1979 Sportster Only 800-701-2925 I hope I did that right.

I ended up milling out a tool to remove and install the neck bearings for my 76 and 79 xr750's. And did a convertion for some heavy duty ceramic bearings.
