6th gear

At what speed do you shift from 5th to 6th gear?

On my '07 Electra Glide, I never use 6th below 60+ mph on level road. My tach reads 2,100 rpm at that speed, I never let my rpms drop below 2,000 rpm in any gear below 2nd. I have Andrews 48 (torque) cams, dual exhaust, open air filter and a fuel controller. The bike is a DOG trying to accelerate in 6th below 70 mph. I'n not sure, but I think your '10 has a slightly more useable 6th gear ratio.

I'm thinking shifting into 6th gear under 70 mph you'd be lugging the engine to much. JMHO.

I don't go by speed, I go by RPM.
Don't want to lug the engine.
