6.5" Speakers in Batwing

Just ordered a pair from Hawg Wired and am wondering inf anyone else has installed. Ordered directly from HW and they tell me to install to discard the brace that goes to the OEM speakers. Looking forward to the bigger sound along with the 150W amp but am concerned that discarding the brace may sacrifice stability at higher speeds.

I Had the HW speakers in my RG but ended up swapping them out with the 6.5" Hertz speakers... Like them a lot better... Also had the HW amp but ended up going with the Arc Audio 125 watt amp and like it much better as well.. Not sure on the factory brace tho I dont remember... are they 5 1/4 speakers??? I do have some friends that have the HW setup and they like it alot I just didnt care for the sound that I got from it... Good Luck!!!

Thanks Phil. Not too familiar with the RG fairing installation and the braces may be unique to the batwing. Glad to hear you like the 6.5" performance.
