3 degree rake on 2001 Deuce

I am looking to somehow get 3 degree rake on my Deuce. I have looked at the triple trees but have heard bad things about them changing the handling. I am now considering the rake caps. Need some opinions here. Also, what does this mean:
ADDING RAKE INCREASE TRAIL

ADDING RAKE TO TREES DECREASES TRAIL

I'm a firm believer of leaving the front end the way it comes from the factory for handling/safety reasons. Once you change rake or trail, the handling changes somewhat in most cases sometimes not for the better.
