21" Front Wheel

Thinking about changing to a 21" front wheel on my 09 SG keeping stock fender, anyone done this and had any problems?

I have that same set-up on my 05 RKC. Only one small adjustment needed. Nudge the front fender forward a tad after installing (nose down). Some may say you don't have to do this nudge, but it helps to keep your front fender ON the bike if you hit a huge pothole. I've seen a SG with the front fender tore off (luckily he stayed on 2) after hitting a pot hole with the 21/18 set up. I have a feeling those frony fenders are not cheap either... Good luck.

Well I put a 21 on mine a year ago and when I pulled my fender off for paint I could tell where it rubbed slightly. I just drilled the rear mounting hole big enought to get a little tilt down on the nose of the fender and tightened it back up. No problems. Actually when I put the wheel on I always thought the fender angled up slightly because the front end raised up some with the bigger diameter setup. So now it looks right tilted forward.

A buddy of mine has a Road King that did not move his fender and actually heated a spot under his fender enough to bubble the paint. Ouch!!

Good Luck and believe me you will enjoy it and the comments you get. I do suggest going single side 13" braking if you can to show off the wheel.
