2019 Road King

Took delivery of a 2019 Road King special last night , I had a S&S 475 cam and new oil pump and pushrods put in ant the big shop I bought it at. I can’t ride it, it’s backfiring real bad. They said two guys road it and it ran good.

So the shop is sending a transport to pickup the bike. They are in Southern Ca I’m in Northern CA

That sucks, hopefully it's just a minor fix.

It’s going back to socal. I think collapsed lifter or S&S pushrod, could be the tuner

Where is the shop? You must check in front of yourself when they say it ran well. I just hope it's fixed.

Well the shop has fixed it. Turned out it was a bad lifter. Another Harley cost cutting move. I hope they put S&S lifters in it.

Good to hear your bike is fixed.
I've had 6 Harley's, starting in 03 and only 1 had failed lifters.
Sounded like 2 hammers smaking together.

So I have not said the name of the place I bought 2019 Road King Special . A big shout out to The Chopper Gallery in Temecula Ca. and Larry and Bill and Carson. They stood up big time. They shipped the bike back , put S&S lifters in and shipped the bike back to me. By the way it’s a 13 or 14 hour one way drive. Thank you guys .
