2013 HD Trike Radio no FM

friend has a 2013 Tri-glide with the Advanced Audio system radio ST110- 8.25.0

has the latest udgrade installed but lately the FM radio works only in the accessory position,in the run position the cd player and the MP section works fine but FM is pretty much just static (very weak volume) but turn it to accessory and works perfect

HD says they never heard of such a problem....any suggestions?
 
Find a new dealer, IMO that bike should still have part of the 2 year warranty on it
 
Different things are running in the run position like lights, fuel pump and ignition are the ones that come to mind. Maybe something has a bad or weak ground. DC is a funny animal and it will try to find ground one way or the other.
 
found the problem with the fm radio,we had installed one of the new LED H4 bulb setup on his trike,seems that the cree leds require a fan to keep cool,with the headlight on seems that FAN had rfi and killed the fm radio effectively because of the noise ,removing cleared up problem,we will now switch the stock bulb out to an HID setup
