2010 FXDC TSM question

Does anyone know if I can replace my TSM (part# 68921-07) with a 68920-07? The reason being I blew mine when the tail light wires rubbed and shorted out my TSM. A replacement runs $237. I found a 68920-07 for $50 plus shipping.
