Not trying to be a stickler here, but this isn't the "join-up, ask a question & leave" forum. Very frustrating to see "first" post with no bike history and lacking proper introduction in New Member section. These forums operate with limited resources (not free), but members gain a wealth of access to rider/owner knowledge that pays many times over.
So, let's start this again: adroc; who are you, what do you ride (other than saying 2010 883 Sporty) and give us some background on your scoot.

Are you trying to start it in gear with out pulling in clutch?????????
I agree with Iceman and wrenchin. The lack of info with these Sporty owners lately is terrible.... Can not help is we do not know................
Maybe just a lot of trolls joining lately just to take up time and space.......

For starts, is your battery fully charged @ 12.7 volts
Have you tried jumping cross the starter wires with bike in neutral
