2007 XL883 Oil Change

Hello,

I bought my Sportster this past march with 2200 miles. Now I have about 6400 miles on it and figure it was time for a oil change. Can anyone help me with an how to change the oil. My uncle has an 2007 Softtail but doesn't know if we change the oil the same way. So if someone can help me out here that would be great.

Thanks, I am going to use AMSOIL. Can I use that for both engine and Primary/trans. You also refer to chain in your post. This sportster has a belt, everything still the same?

BTW, it was due for a fluids change at 2500 miles and then again at 5000 miles. IMHO, there is nothing better than you can do for your Sporty than changing fluids per the service schedule.

And, I would always change fluids in a used bike I bought...no telling what was in there when you got it.
