I have a 2006 Screaming Eagle softtail springer that has been sitting for some time.battery was dead charged the battery.and now the alarm fobs do not turn off the alarm they are the buttonless type - what to do
If it has been dead for a while, it takes a few hours of running to get the self contained battery in the siren back in order again. Have you checked the FOB batteries?
The self contained battery in the module is a conventional NiMH battery and should recover if you let the battery charge overnight or so. It is also easily replaced, if you feel it is not "holding" a charge or defective in some way. The fobs are easily replaced also, but those coin batteries last quite a long time, 2-3 years for a daily driver...so far.
