2006 xl1200 custom. Instrument cluster flashing, sputtering, electric start wont work? Help

Any trouble shooting help is welcome. We just changed the drive belt and now the electrical is acting up. Starter button wont work. When push started, instrument panel flashes, sputtering. Sputters when turn signals are activated? Any help is appreciated.

First off are you throwing any codes? 2nd. how old is your battery & is it up to charge? Have it load tested.
