i was hopeing that the military takes good care of their equipment.
does the military go up and beyond the call of duty when they sevice their military bikes .? Dothey do the sevice themselves or do they get Harley to do it .
I bought it with 43000 Miles do u think they changed the tensioners ?

Thanks F.|K.

Everything the military buys, is from the lowest bidder. The oil came from the same 55 gallon drum that was used for everything else calling for that mil/spec. If the engine didn't lock up, I doubt the tensioners were changed.
I would hazard a guess and say that the motor pool mechanic was more respectful of the bike than the MP's that rode it.
It is possible that the bike was part of a Fleet Lease deal, and service by a HD dealer was in the package. If it was mine, a lot of inspection would get done.

I didn't think military police had motorcycle officers. I never saw them, except in the field, and wouldn't recommend a bike ridden in those conditions.
