2003 heritage softail classic passenger floorboards

Hello, I have an '03 Heritage Softail Classic and bought floorboards for the wife and the install sheet tells me I gotta buy a saddlebag bracket relocation kit part# 90238-00 Has anyone on here done this installation and was it really necessary or is there an easier way??

Any help would be appreciated and if you have done it can you post a close up picture on job done?

I did this on my '08 about a month ago. You do need the relocation kit to make room for the floorboards. It wasn't very expensive around $15. It was a fairly easy install once I figured out how the parts stacked on each other back to front.
