2000 road king sluggish

  1. I worked on a friend of mines 2000 road king. It is stock with 40,000+ miles. We changed out the cam bearings, chains, gears, chain tensioners, adj push rods and lifters. After all this when the engine is cold, the motor is real sluggish in first and second gear. When you shift to third it seems to accelerate fine. When the engine is warmed up it accelerates just fine in all gears. We went back in and checked to see if all the timing marks were right, all fine. Any ideas. Thanks LP
