2000 Duece Fuel Running Out

My father-in-law bought a Deuce in 2000 and he just passed away. It has 550 miles on it. I bought a new battery and tried to start. Pulled air cleaner and fuel would just pour out and not start. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Mother in law is driving me crazy over this. Thanks

How about a bit more info on the bike, probable carbed? If so the float is probably hung up, need to open up the carb and clean it out.

AS Glider said if its a Carb it need to be cleaned esp the float as any gas in it has turned to varnish and green corrosion
