20 second tick!!!!!!!

I have now noticed that when I start my bike (09 EGC) I hear a tick (one time) somewhere in the upper engine area. I figure it was the heat shields or the header bolts that were loose. I tighten all the bolts a it still makes the tick on cold start only and only one tick. It does and does not sound like expanding metal (so figure me). Has anyone noticed this? Is there a relay that kicks on or off after the bike starts? I started hearing this about 2 month ago.

Do you have any warranty left? can you narrow it down to what cylinder? Could it maybe be a lifter, I would take it in and let The Dealer have a look @ it JMO

Likely not a time bomb, but it could be a symptom of low oil pressure (lifters likely making the ticking sound...! Never hurts to exercise your in warrantee option to be sure.:s
