1997 softtail carb jetting for stage 1??

we finally got the 1997 cv carb to bolt up to dads 1985 softtail, cranks right up idles great, but he's running a free flowing 4" velocity stack, when you go to accelerate it trys for a split second to spit back out the carb then picks up and runs great, all the jets in stock carb are stock size, any suggestions
on what to jet it to now with such a high air flow?? thanks his is evo 80"

A 45 or 46 for the slow jet and a 185 or 190 for the main and posiibly a couple of washers under the slide needle to bring the taper in earlier
