1992 fxle Ignition Cover.

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the engine cover what the ignition is in?
iv'e removed the allen bolts but it wont move,i want to have it re-chromed.

Did you remove the rivets in the center cover and remove the ignition first? The Cover will come of next, careful to not lose any spacers that will fall out, and replace the cam bushing and recheck the breather spacer, might as well check the breather as long as you are in there, some of the plastic ones were bad

Hi, thanks for the reply, if i remove the electronic ignition will it have to be set up again when i install it? this is my first harley and at the moment and have never removed a electronic ignition before and i don't have a manual.
the ignition is a (Crane Programmable Module Model Hi 4)

Just mark the plate and case so you can line it back up
