1981 Super Glide carb help.

i pulled my bike out of the garage the other day, after it sat there all winter and put new plugs and wires on it, and drained the tank. but when i went to start it, it was not getting any gas. starting fluid would get it to turn over, but the engine would not stay running. im getting gas from my fuel line to my carb. so im baffled.

does anyone have any ideas as to whats going on. i feel like my carb may have gone bad.

Time to clean the carb. you may be able to "soak" it clean, but would be better off with a little disassembly. There is a tool to clean the tips of a gas torch that is perfect to clean out the jets. Figure on a rebuild kit also.

I agree there about cleaning out the carb.

What you may try is some tapping on the carb, it may just be that the float is hung up.
