1975 shovel problem

Bike runs great,Charges great, but it will not shut off. I have tested for power at coils and seams to power up and power down when bike is not running when I operate key switch and or shut off switch. The battery is losing its charge when bike sets for a day so there is a drain on it.I have checked all wiring and all is good. My relay seams to be working with ign. switch. Could I have a stator or regulator short that keeps power on after motor is started?
 
Unplug the regulator when you park it and see what happens then. Chances are it could be a regulator problem draining the battery.
 
You can't shut it off with BOTH switches? I must have miss read that before. Possibility a bad ignition switch otherwise it's wired wrong.
 
I would check your ign moduel if its wired in to a hot wire all the time once you start it nothing will shut it down plus you would have a draw all yhe time,jel
