OK - what am I doing wrong? I recently bought a 1973 Sportster XLH 1000. I found a service manual, but I can't find an HD owners manual anywhere (though I can for an XL/XLCH). The Clymer manual skips over the year. Am I missing something? Can I still use the Clymer manual?

Would the XLCH HD manual be comparable enough too, in that case? Thanks for the help!

XLCH is the kick start model. But every thing else is the same. .XLH & XL are electric start.

I thought that was the only difference, but wasn't sure. Thanks!

I still have my service manual for my '73 XLCH (That and the original seat is all I have left of her). Need anything out of it?

    Enjoy,

I have 2 that cover 1970 to 1978 Sportsters. I still have that 1977 since Ferrous let me down. I think he should change to Nefarious Buller:s

Thanks Rich, but I'm good. I wasn't in need of something in it (yet), but managed to copies. Thanks for the offer!
