'13 fxdwg check engine light on

The other day I started the bike and the light came on. Also, the idle is so high I can take off with no throttle. When I checked the service manual all it mentioned was diagnostic scanner and electronic book anyone have any ideas?

This is the link to instructions on how to get the trouble codes. It's for model year 2010, which is the most recent I could find in our Self Help section, but hopefully it'll work for your bike.
