Stripped my carb, all OK reassembled but starter would not spin so stripped it out to clean/renew brushes. Lifting it out i pulled on the battery lead (diconnected at battery) to help lift it and the cable pulled out of the covering near to the starter. (EDIT) Fitted new cable after cleaning brushes and reassembled all.Now no missfire splutering or anything. Running like a dream. thanks to all who replied
