my old starter burned up so i replaced battery and starter. checked the volts and connections everything seems ok. problem is when you hit the starter button it puts massive load on the starter almost like theres to much compression. is my jackshaft binding and just needs rebuilt or do i need a high tourqe starter?

thanx man appreciate it. same think i've been hearing. got the big boar batt. and some really good cables gonna look into some compression release. only thing thats weird is sometimes it werx like a dream and others it really struggles. everything in charging system checks out ok. so confusing oh well just ride.
