Clutch plates: How many miles do you get from them under normal ridding? At present I have no problem, but I may be making a parts order and wondering if I it's time to make a preventative change. I go through brake pads like I do rear tires, 6 in 31,000 miles. I never considered it ridding in the states, but here I must be clutching at least 30% more. Starter: Most of the time it will engage immediately and start. Then occasionally it will hesitate, not grinding, but act like its stuck momentarily and slowly turn the engine over before starting. As ugly as this sounds it has never failed to start. The battery is full at 12.9 volts. I don't want to get into more premature repairs than necessary, but if I am replacing clutch plates, it would be the time to make a starter repair also. Thanks for the reply.
