07 road king oil temp

I just bought a 07 FLHRC this past weekend. its the " newest " bike I have ever owned so I know nothing about fuel injected models. after 30 miles or so when I come to an idle the bike stalls. I have the digital oil temp gauge that reads high oil temp around 212 deg. what is the safe temp range for the 96? ambient air temp here is 75 deg.

IMO 212° is not high oil temp. Oil needs to get there to burn off the H2o condensation. My '07 cruises at 230° on a 80° day, and I've seen 280° in traffic. Use a quality oil and you will be fine.

A good synthetic oil will maintain it 's lubricating capability up to 300*; conventional oil starts losing it's lubricating capacity at 250*.
