02 Fatboy

I am helping a friend with his bike , he has the twin cam fatboy and when it is cold it runs fine , as soon as it warms up it starts to rattle like crazy in the tensioner area around the nose cone , i haven't opened it up yet to see the surprise but after reading many posts here it sounds like the tensioner has gone bad or even worse the bearings and all , I am surprised as it only has 20,000 miles on it.
I was thinking to check engine oil pressure before i do anything
Any advice would be helpful

I would start with the oil filter and cut it open to inspect for tensioner flakes then get into the nose cone to inspect things. Also don't forget the primary side too.

It certainly won't hurt to check the oil pressure. Also I would cut open the oil filter. I use a pipe cutter to cut open my filter. My cutter is an exhaust pipe chain cutter about $25.00
