01 ultra stop running

A friend of mine has a 01 ultra classic & it stop running , it was taken to a MC shop & he was told that it was a ECM , the tech replaced his ECM with another ECM & the bike started & run fine . Has anyone else had a ECM problem like this or could something else cause the problem ?? Also he seems to be short on cash so he would like to know if there is after market or used parts available so he could save a few $$$$$

You can always check E-bay or Craigslist for used parts.

It possibly could have been the main cicuit breaker. A long shot but it could of tripped and then later reset itself. They are a weak link.
