06 FXDWG Service Manual Error
Published by glider (Community Liaison)
Published date: Nov 29th, 2007
In the owner's manual that comes with the bike on page 102 there is an illustration showing the oil pan. There is an arrow pointing to the plug on the bottom of the pan as being the oil drain plug. It shows the side plug as being the transmission drain plug.

In the factory service manual for '06 Dynas. It showed the exact opposite - on page 1-10 there is an illustration showing the oil pan with the oil drain plug as being on the side of the pan and the bottom plug as being the transmission drain plug.

A factory HD tech has confirmed that the owner's manual is incorrect. The oil drain plug is the plug on the side of the pan, and not the plug on the bottom.
